二戰前的布達佩斯，餐館老闆拉西婁，鋼琴師安德拉許，還有美麗的伊洛娜，在那間小小的餐館中上演出一起愛恨情仇。拉西婁和安德拉許同時深愛著伊洛娜，甚至心甘情願的分享她的感情。三角形是最穩定的，可通常三角的戀愛是最容易生事的。奇怪的是，劇中的三人卻能保持一種微妙的平衡。滿心愛慕所驅使的安德拉許為伊洛娜譜了首鋼琴曲，取名為「Gloomy Sunday」，在拉西婁的幫忙下，曲子被出版了，安德拉許隨著曲子一舉成名。隨著二戰到來，德國軍官漢斯魏克德出現，所有人都被越來越深德卷進漩渦，誰也無法逃脫命運，所留下的，可能只有「Gloomy Sunday」永恆的魔力。
在劇中，「Gloomy Sunday」造成了無數的自殺事件，有餐館的客人也有唱片的聽眾。最終的安德拉許和拉西婁都無法逃脫「Gloomy Sunday」。在對伊洛娜的愛中所寫下曲子，竟然透露的全是憂傷信息。或許，從一開始安德拉許對伊洛娜就是愛與絕望交織的。他和拉西婁誰也無法得到全部的伊洛娜，三人微妙的平衡中，每個人都有著深深的心結。音樂本身沒有魔力，而人的心魔才是最可怕的。「Gloomy Sunday」的曲調動聽，而人心中那些無法抑止的悲哀將一個又一個人送上了絕路。隨著德國的侵略越演越甚，眼看著伊洛娜也被捲入其中，為了他們的餐館去求漢斯時，充滿了無奈的安德拉許最後一次彈奏完，也是第一次為伊洛娜伴奏了「Gloomy Sunday」後舉槍自盡。而拉西婁身為猶太人，更加無法逃脫法西斯的追捕。說他真正聽懂了「Gloomy Sunday」，或者說「Gloomy Sunday」的憂傷真好符合了他對現實的絕望。而他連體面自盡的機會都沒有就被送入了集中營，不知所終。漢斯開始的出現不過是愛慕伊洛娜的一名德國商人。到了戰時，他仍然已朋友的身份在三人中間，可是形勢的越來越糟糕，漢斯冷酷自私的本性逐漸暴露，他是個徹底商人，就算最深的對伊洛娜的感情，也不過是種佔有欲而已。最後，在他80歲那天，他回到布達佩斯，重溫肉卷和「Gloomy Sunday」，也倒在伊洛娜的毒葯中，很快意的一個結局。
伊洛娜，做為劇中的靈魂人物，確實很美，美的值得那麼多男人為她傾倒。開始她處於兩個男人中間，無法割捨任何一個。可是戰爭帶走了一個又一個，最終只空留她一人。伊洛娜是個女人，女人會有著無法割捨的依戀，女人會為愛人奮不顧身，也或許只有女人才能把愛恨情仇放在心中，幾十年不變。愛能銘心，恨也能刻骨，糾纏不清的愛與恨，才是「Gloomy Sunday」最後的傳奇。
我第一次聽這首歌是sarabrightman唱的，聽後就想看這部電影，故事很感人，蠻喜歡的```sarabrightman唱得也很好~~~~~`

最早聽到這首歌是在電影《12隻猴子 12 Monkeys》，布魯斯威利斯在汽車里收音機播放的那首歌曲。《諜海計中計 The Recruit》在酒吧中也能聽到這首歌。Blueberry Hill是很經典的一首爵士歌曲，由Fats Domino原唱。翻唱過的人也很多，包括爵士大師 Louis Armstrong、情歌聖手Andy Williams、貓王Elvis Presley等等。不過我最喜歡的還是Louis Armstrong和Andy Williams的版本。
