中國第一部開創電影奇跡的影片《破艙》，是完全一個人攝制的、零成本、即興創作（先拍攝後寫劇本）的電影長片，2013年楊誠俊導演電影。
中國第一部獲得國際大獎的影片是20世紀30年代由蔡楚生導演的《漁光曲》，它在1935年莫斯科國際電影節上獲「榮譽獎」。
